AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

 

• To promote democracy and good governance.

• To work for the entrenchment of social justice and constitutionalism.

• To work for the development of National Laws and policies through constitutional reforms in accordance with international best practices.

• To promote human rights, gender mainstreaming and poverty reduction strategies as a tool for social justice, equity, peace and development in Nigeria.

• To promote accountability, transparency and popular participation in governance and in the management of public fund.

• To monitor the extent of State’s compliance with international conventions, laws and standards on human rights and justice ratified by Nigeria.

• To provide a resource base and enhance the exchange of information to promote the objects of this organization through research, advocacy, litigations, workshops, seminars, symposia, conferences, rallies as well as the publication of books, magazines, periodicals, journals, newspapers, posters, leaflets, pamphlets, videos, CDROMS and other materials in pursuit of the objectives of the organization.

• To gratuitously provide humanitarian, charitable or any specific services for the promotion of the objectives of this organization.

• To liaise, enter into agreement or otherwise associate with any institutions, organizations, body or persons, in any legitimate manner, in furtherance of the above objectives.

• To do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the forgoing objectives.
